For the 27th year the Moore County Republican Men’s Club on June 19, 2023, is hosting its
annual golf outing and fundraiser.
This is the club’s most consequential fundraising effort of the calendar year. Heading into the
2023 municipal election cycle, which begins with a candidate filing period this July, funds
received through the generosity of club Republicans and their guests will be allocated 100% to get-out-the-vote efforts and supporting our candidates across a spectrum of important races.
This year’s shotgun-start tournament, which will be formatted as a team competition along
with individual awards presented for achievements such as closet-to-the-pin on selected par-
three holes, returns to the acclaimed Dogwood course at The Country Club of North Carolina in Pinehurst.
The Dogwood is ranked third in the North Carolina Golf Panel’s annual top 100 ratings just
revised in April 2023.
The event offers one of the finest golf experiences in the Sandhills. Golfer are encouraged to
register as individuals, or to create a foursome that will join forces as a team.
But the annual Reburn Memorial Tournament, named after a men’s club founding member,
John Reburn, is not exclusively a golf opportunity. Republicans motivated to help the raise
funds for the Moore GOP’s war chest can select from a menu of options. These include:
Sponsor a local first responder who will play in the tournament at our guests. We will
sponsor eight foursomes (32 golfers). This salutes their valor and adds another $250 to
the fundraiser’s bottom line. Golfers and those not playing are encouraged to sponsor
one or more first responders. As of May 18, 10 unsponsored slots remain. Please step
up and help.
Those who will not be teeing it up still have an opportunity to score points for our cause
by donating any amount before or on June 19.
Do you enjoy the comradery of Men’s Club gatherings? Join us for lunch after the
golfers come in. Along with great food you will have a chance to applaud our prize and
raffle winners.
