Berggren launches bid for Pinehurst council:
Targeting seat held by Hogeman in fall
Claire Berggren, a Moore County realtor, has announced she will campaign to become a member of the Pinehurst Village Council the fall, seeking to unseat incumbent Jane Hogeman.
Berggren is a former council member with deep connections in the community.
Hogeman, a registered Republican, has not been a reliable voter on numerous issues, and voted to advance ethics violations against seated council member Lydia Boesch and former member Kevin Drum ahead of the previous election cycle. The ethics violations were dismissed.
