School board adopts plan to expand meeting venues:
Beginning in February and for the duration of this academic year public meetings of the Moore County Board of Education are going on the road. The intent is to encourage greater public participation across the county, which the previous board dismissed as posing too great a "security threat".
The schedule (meetings begin at 5:30 p.m.):
February 13: Cameron Elementary School
March 13: West Pine Elementary School
April 17: Robbins Elementary School
May 8: Sandhills Farm Life Elementary
June 12: Southern Pines Elementary School
