Moore Board of Health will end weekly reporting on “cases” of COVID-19 in the community

  • County health board forms communications group

  • New appointee LoSapio laments lack of priorities

  • When will board move beyond Covid-19 obsession?

The Moore County Board of Health in April will end weekly reporting on “cases” of COVID-19 in the community.

Meanwhile, newly elected board member Tom LoSapio is pressing the board to identify its priorities going forward, in particular how it will create policies addressing local health issues while sparing citizens from the overreaching guidance imposed by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) that dominated COVID response between 2020 and as recently as 2023.

The Board of Health will hold its regular meeting on Monday, May 1st, at 6pm in the Rick Rhyne Public Safety Center, 302 S McNeill St, Carthage - Second Floor Community Meeting Room.
